Christian Education

Education is an important part of our ministries at SMPC. It is through education that we are nurtured in faith and inspired to grow in knowledge and experience. Our programs provide all age groups with classes that will guide, develop, enrich, and nurture their faith in God. Through this education, we seek to broaden our understanding of Jesus’ teachings.

Our curriculum explores what it means to truly follow the teachings of Jesus and share His philosophy of love. The good news of the Gospel tells us that we are called to move beyond traditional boundaries and build a real relationship with God, one that inspires us to grow in wisdom and love.

About Michael O'Brien:

A gifted communicator with 25 years experience, Michael O'Brien is a Presbyterian pastor, a graduate of Stanford
University and Fuller Theological Seminary. He teaches Advanced Mathematics and Bible at Portland Lutheran School.
